Reflection

Test for Tara Bar window in cardboard boxes.

Lighting for the installation will be from natural daylight as the material is highly reflective, to increase the potential for the work to be effected by natural daylight. I did not use the dull side of the silver foil as I want as much opportunity for daylight to bounce of the surface of the material, rather than drawn into the work itself.

With the coloured glass in the windows it will interesting to assess how the reflective quality will be obscured from the street and visualised by passersby.

I do not intend to fill every window of the facade as I wanted to incorporate a narrative to the work intending a title of ‘Empty to Full’ which continues the themes of opposites in the theme of light interventions of light and shadow.

The title could also have reference to the drinking culture of Ireland where full glasses of alcohol to empty a reversal of the the above title.
